VIRGIN ISLAND LIBRARY SYSTEM
The Territorial Archives

In 1967, The Virgin Island Library System authorized the establishment of what is now referred to as the Territorial Archives. The collection contains an array of materials in print or microfilm on the history of the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean. The research collection is non-circulating, so if you are looking for an ancestor here we suggest you contact the library and make an appointment with one of their Archivists.  This is only if you can afford the trip or just need the vacation. The collection is in Barbados in the library’s Caribbean Collection.  If you already know what you are looking for, the library system makes back issues available of its various Virgin Island Newspapers on Microfilm.  The microfilm can be ordered.
